Dear Minister Hunt,
I write with huge sadness and fear. The decision to allow the coal mine to go ahead in the Liverpool plains is nothing less than criminal. It is deplorable that the government is continuing to promote this source of fuel There is scientific consensus that continual use of fossil fuels is damaging global climate systems. Most recklessly of all is your decision to allow this to happen in a food bowl. The areas of land most necessary for our survival in a changing climate.
I feel huge sadness for you, Minister Hunt, because you have had to make this decision, against all proper scientific advice, and flagrant disregard for our future. You are going to have to live with this.
