My first curiosity with ML is its relationship to biological learning. Biological learning (BL) has an evolutionary quality to it. It emerges out of thermodynamic engine that reproduces, tests offspring on an environment and, either reproduces or dies. This stark binary occurs countless times over, billions of years and through all ecosystems. And each time it is under a changing sets of circumstance. The evolutionary paths of species dances in tandem with a changing and unique environment. The beautiful reality is we exist. But is this confluence of time and space an accident? If it is not then what is to stop the valves cogs and pipes of our information age to spontaneously gain this quality we call life.
